Dolls and Delights

With all the rain we've been rather cosy inside Pale Rose Cottage. We lighted a candle, drank chammomile tea & ate chocolate biscuits while we crafted. Well, I did anyway. Mom's been knitting new socks & I, as you can see in the photo, have been busy sewing dolls...

I don't know if you read my post about the hot weather a while ago. But in the picture you can see, next to the fan, the beginnings of a doll. In her, dare I say it, birthday outfit... *blush*
She has been worked on and is now propperly dressed in a pink gown. Has brown hair and a wonderful little man by her side. Once I got sewing I couldn't stop and nobody likes to be alone so, I made her a companion. I'm pretty pleased at how this couple turned out. Didn't use a pattern, freehanded it all the way. So they are the only ones of their kind. Not as Regency-like as I planned, but still that tiny hint of a  Jane Austen worthy pair, or so I like to believe.

How are you? Busy sewing while it rains? Knitting socks? Do tell us all about your craft projects, we love to keep up!!

All my best,
Jo's Daughter
