Dolls & a Comb

The crafting flow has been in full swing here at Pale Rose cottage. Needles being thread, little seams sewn. Fabric cut and pieces stuffed in order to create : A pair of “Jane Austen” style dolls...

As you probably know I’m a big fan of Jane and the Regency period. The dresses on my dolls have not turned out as Regency style as I had originally wanted. Due to a lack of fabric, but I like them just the same. Perhaps I should not say this, as I am the one who made them. But these ladies came out okay. I especially like their hairstyle, the buns and the thin glasses on the brunette :)

Something else I like is my new comb. My old one broke so I needed a new one. This is a wooden one with delicate flower border painted on it. Hope it will last longer than the one I had before it.

Tomorrow it’s mom and dads wedding anniversary, another year so reason for a celebration :)

Have you ever made a doll? Like the Regency period? Got a new comb? Or something else you wish to share. Please do, we love hearing from you!

All my best wishes,
Jo’s Daughter
